It’s not about construction projects, it’s about creating a safe and caring home for children who; otherwise, are at risk of being exploited.

Agapao was founded in 2011 with a single purpose in mind – to build an orphanage in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.  From the beginning, we knew we would expand our scope of work, but it was the image of children with nowhere to live but on the streets that fueled our resolve. After all, how could we be content living in our safe and comfy homes knowing that there is even one child with no home, much less, thousands of them?

In 2015 the initial construction project was completed and we celebrated the accomplishment as we opened the doors of Grace Children’s Home, built to house 50 kids, with almost 60 kids on opening day!  At that moment, we were reminded of why we started Agapao – because there are kids living on the streets of Andhra Pradesh, India with no hope of a home…and that is still the reality of countless children.

In Andhra Pradesh between 2009 – 2012 16,787 children went missing. This staggering reality keeps us up at night and keeps us motivated to continue our work to provide homes for these children through an ongoing construction strategy.

When it comes down to the basics of this initiative, it’s not about construction projects, it’s about creating a safe and caring home for children who; otherwise, are at risk of being exploited.

We have two new construction projects designed to help provide additional housing at Grace Children’s Home
